About Us
BTG is a supplemental math program that offers a wide range of educational opportunities. These opportunities include online math courses, synchronous learning classes, practice workbooks, and private tutorial sessions. Our instructional practices aim to bridge the learning gaps of students in order for them to transition efficiently through secondary mathematics.
Our Story
As secondary math teachers with 15+ years of experience, we realized the most frequent reason why students are not successful in mathematics. Students struggled because of what we call learning gaps. Learning gaps occur when a student fails to show proficiency in a prerequisite concept that is vital to move to the next grade level or the next set of learning standards. Since Mathematics is 100% progressive, when students develop these learning gaps they do not have a true opportunity to be successful in their math class. Usually when this happens the problem gets progressively worse and students begin to dislike math because of repeated struggles.
Identifying the problem, we created curriculum and strategies that are aimed at addressing the potential learning gaps as students transition from elementary through secondary mathematics. We found that this was EXTREMELY successful as we saw recorded setting state test scores and received district and campus awards!
Covid 19 influenced us to start providing supplemental math services in the summer of 2020 due to the growth in students learning gaps nationwide. BTG Education LLC was born and we aim to empower students, parents, and educators with efficient methods that result is successful math learning and instruction!
